Soil Vapor Extraction (SVE) is a proven, economical remediation technology for volatile compounds with vapor pressures greater than 0.5 mm Hg from soils with intrinsic permeabilities greater than 10-8 cm2. Pilot studies are usually conducted to determine the ideal flow rate and zone of influence. Perforated pipe or well screen is installed vertically or horizontally in the vadose zone of the soil to allow the soil gas to be withdrawn with a regenerative or positive displacement blower. A partial vacuum is created which causes the groundwater table to rise portionally. The vacuum can be measured to determine the actual zone of influence and to balance multiple SVE zones. The soil gas normally requires off-gas treatment before being discharged to the atmosphere, depending upon the applicable regulations. The soil gas can also be re-injected to promote bioremediation. We offer design assistance; small rental systems to conduct pilot tests; disposable and steam regenerative vapor phase carbon; and complete systems.

SVE MOBILE UNITS
Over the past few years we have custom designed and manufactured a number of Soil Vapor Extraction (SVE) systems. We have decided to take the best designs and offer those SVE systems in mobile, enclosed trailers. Our mobile units are completely self-contained. They only need to be connected to the underground piping with hose and connected to an electrical supply. We have rental units or offer to buy back purchased units.
